We’re looking for a detail-driven Inventory Control Clerk to join our Waterloo team. If you have a strong background in inventory management, shipping/receiving, and collaborating with other branches on special orders and transfers, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Place daily stock and emergency purchase orders.
- Work with parts management on daily monthly returns to vendors.
- Oversee inventory transfers to other locations.
- Maintain Core Inventory and ensure cores are returned in timely manner.
- Assist with receiving daily stock orders.
- Contact applicable vendors to resolve any issues with shipment shortages or damages.
- Process parts purchase orders and invoice once parts have been received.
- Review end of day report for discrepancies.
- Establish inventory controls, levels, and balance them for maximum turn rate.
- Ensure parts are received and recorded into inventory properly.
- Establish process for received parts to maximize efficiency.
- Assign bin locations for new parts as needed.
- Manage cycle count process.
- Manage obsolescence to ensure that obsolete parts are returned in a timely manner.
- Monitor aging parts and develop return process.
- Ensure storage areas are neat, clean, and clearly labeled.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to clearly communicate updates to employees.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Good organizational skills.
- Maintain a clean and orderly appearance.
- High school or equivalent.
- Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Minimum one-year warehouse/purchasing related experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel.
