Production Supervisor - B Shift

Job Overview

Position:
Production Supervisor – Prepared Foods Division.

Location:

United States of America – B Shift. Travel: occasional travel to other facilities or corporate. Relocation assistance available.

• Build the best team by hiring, training, retaining, counseling, and educating on benefits, compensation, and company policies.
• Guide the team through stretches before shifts and rotate workstations throughout the shift.
• Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, accurate shipments, record keeping, inventory rotation, and proper product coding.
• Ensure that all workstations on the line are staffed before the start‑up of production.
• Guarantee that all machinery is performing and all workstations have passed USDA inspection.
• Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
• Oversee processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
• Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Two years at Tyson Foods or equivalent experience highly preferred.
• Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus; HACCP certification and understanding of basic HACCP principles with CCP monitoring verification is a plus.
• Computer skills:
  Basic computer skills; SAP experience highly preferred.
• Communication:
  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Special skills:
  Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills, strong work ethic, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Travel:
  Some travel required.
• Background check:
  Certain roles at Tyson require a background check; documentation will be provided after an offer.
