Job Summary

This position is projected to start in the early spring of 2027. The Pediatrician practices medicine in accordance with federally accepted medical care standards as reflected in Peoples Community Health Clinic’s Principles of Practice. Diagnoses illness, prescribes and administers treatment for injury and disease. Expected to consistently work to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with physicians and staff to support the delivery of quality patient care.

Performs all defined services and related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic, Inc.

Essential Functions
  • Orders/performs diagnostic tests on patient to provide information on medical condition.
  • Diagnoses medical condition of patient.
  • Prescribes or administers treatment.
  • Uses effective clinical judgment in referring patients and receiving referrals.
  • Maintains an accurate medical record to support clinical and business documentation requirements.
  • Works to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Maintains positive relationships with other physicians, staff, and health care students.
  • Plans, implements and/or administers treatment protocols.
  • Supports clinic staff meetings and adheres to guidelines.
  • Supports a service‑oriented atmosphere in accordance with Peoples Community Health Clinic Mission and Philosophy.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • High language, high math, high reasoning ability.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, adaptability, attentiveness to detail and flexibility of assignment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point) and Windows Platform. Must be comfortable moving within an EHR computer system regularly.
  • Ability to work within a team setting and to relate to the special needs of the patient population.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Must be willing to be a resource for questions from Pediatric Nurse Practitioners within the clinic.
  • Oversee pediatric patients.
Work Environment / Personal Protective Equipment

This position operates in a clinical setting, will be exposed to blood borne pathogen hazard to eyes, hands and torso, puncture/penetration hazard to hands, particulates and blood/body fluid hazard to respiratory. PPE is required.

Physical Demands

This position requires continuous sitting (67% - 100% of shift); occasional standing (1% - 33% of shift); continuously lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. (67% - 100% of shift); occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. (34% - 66% of shift); occasional pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. (34% - 66% of shift); continuous finger dexterity and use of hands/arms for repetitive movement (67% - 100% of shift);

frequent twisting and reaching at and below shoulder level; occasional bending/stooping, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder level (34% - 66% of shift); occasional driving with and without loading and unloading items; occasional exposure to odors.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. Typical work hours and days are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one evening session required and call coverage of 1 of every 6‑7 nights. Some flexibility in hours is allowed. Responsibilities occasionally may require irregular hours as deemed necessary.…
