• Float across multiple units, including Med Surg, Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and post‑procedural areas as required.
• Monitor and care for patients with various medical conditions, ensuring adherence to care plans and protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including proficiency with heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin.
• Perform EKG/ECG readings and tele‑related responsibilities competently, including rhythm strip and dysrhythmia reads.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and respond to patient needs efficiently.
• Assist in emergency situations and coordinate patient care effectively.

• 4x12‑hour night shifts, 48 hours per week (36 hours per week available upon request).
• Every other weekend commitment.
• Required to work 1-2 of the following upcoming summer holidays:
  Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.

• Patient to nurse ratio: 1:6.
• Bed size: 130.
• Telemetry monitoring is required.

• Minimum 24 months of experience in Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Telemetry, or Med/Tele is required.
• Must be comfortable and proficient in administering specified drips.
• Must possess current EKG/ECG reading skills and related responsibilities.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is essential.
• De‑Escalation Certification (CPI, SAMA, MAB, or MOAB) is preferred and can be obtained during onboarding.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certificate is preferred but can also be obtained during onboarding.
• Active Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license is mandatory.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Driver’s license is required.
