Full‑Time (1.0 FTE) – Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week)

Additional on‑call requirements:

• Average of 2–3 weekends per year
• 1–2 weeknights per month
• Participation in a holiday on‑call rotation

• Position is based out of the Waterloo office
• Provide local coverage to nearby communities – all within 30 minutes of Waterloo
• All travel in and outside of Waterloo is fully reimbursed (paid travel time and mileage)

• Provide nursing care to hospice patients in homes and healthcare facilities
• Deliver compassionate end‑of‑life care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life
• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
• Monitor changes in condition and update the plan of care
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care‑planning discussions
• Educate and support patients, caregivers, and families
• Coordinate care and advocate for patients and families throughout their hospice journey

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn work‑related software
• Valid Iowa driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Two years of recent nursing experience, preferably working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Previous hospice, home health, palliative care, or related nursing experience

• Ability to move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to travel throughout the service area and work in patient homes, healthcare facilities, and office settings
• Ability to alternate between sitting, standing, walking, and driving throughout the workday
• Pre‑employment/post‑offer physical, TB, and drug screen required
