Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Waterloo, Iowa.

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry located in Waterloo, Iowa. This position involves providing care on the Med Surg and Telemetry units, with responsibilities that include managing patient monitoring, administering infusions, reading EKG/ECG, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The role requires quick interviewing and placement to meet urgent staffing needs.

• Required Qualifications:
  
  Active Iowa nursing license or multi‑state license, 24 months of recent Med Surg or Telemetry experience, American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS ACLS and BLS certifications, experience with infusions such as heparin, insulin, diuretics, amiodarone, diltiazem, 3% saline infusion, and the ability to confidently read EKG/ECG rhythm strips and dysrhythmias.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience in post‑operative surgical care including procedures like EGD, colonoscopy, Cardiac Catheterization, Pacemaker insertion, including minor surgeries.
• Additional Information:
  The role involves floating across medical‑surgical units including post‑operative units. Experience with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) is required. The facility is implementing ancillary roles only, with no local RNs within 50 miles. Orientation begins on 08/10/2026. The position is non‑call with every other weekend off.
• Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 34 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
