Job Description
Plasma Center Nurse (Medical Support Specialist) at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company.
The role supports the day‑to‑day operations of a plasma donation center, reporting to the Plasma Center Manager and operating under the guidance of the Center Physician.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis.
- Manage donor adverse events, evaluate donor reactions, and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Notify donors of unsuitable test results and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
- Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents, coordinate with occupational health/ER, and follow EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate‑level recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
- $5,000 sign‑on bonus.
- Competitive hourly wage: $24.32–$33.44 (varies by qualifications and experience).
