Peoples Community Health Clinic, Inc. (Peoples Clinic) is seeking a team player with excellent family medicine clinical skills to join our family of providers in Waterloo, IA. Job Summary/Objective:
The Physician practices medicine in accordance with federally accepted medical care standards as reflected in Peoples Community Health Clinic's Principles of Practice. Diagnoses illness, prescribes and administers treatment for injury and disease. Expected to consistently work to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with other physicians and staff to help support the delivery of quality patient care. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic, Inc.

- This position will require the use or disclosure of protected health Information.
- This position will use the Treatment class of protected health information.
- Restrictions on the protected health information for this position will follow the Privacy Policies of Peoples Community Health Clinic, Inc.
- Use or disclosure of protected health information not routinely available to this position will follow procedures assessed by or directed by management.
Essential Functions:
- Performs patient examinations.
- Orders/performs diagnostic tests on patient to provide information on medical condition.
- Diagnoses medical condition of patient.
- Prescribes or administers treatment.
- Uses effective clinical judgment in referring patients and receiving referrals.
- Maintains an accurate medical record to support clinical and business documentation requirements.
- Works to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Maintains positive relationships with other physicians, staff, and health care students.
- Plans, implements and/or administers treatment protocols.
- Supports clinic staff meetings and adheres to guidelines.
- Supports a service-oriented atmosphere in accordance with Peoples Community Health Clinic Mission and Philosophy.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and guidelines.

- Working knowledge of MS Office Products (ex. Excel, Word, Access, Power Point) and Windows Platform. Must be comfortable moving within an EMR computer system regularly

Patient Population:
- Neonate to geriatric patients.
Work Environment/Personal Protective Equipment:
This position operates in a clinical setting, will be exposed to blood borne pathogen hazard to eyes, hands and torso, puncture/penetration hazard to hands, particulates and blood/body fluid hazard to respiratory. PPE is required.
Physical Demands:
This position requires continuous Sitting (67% - 100% of shift); occasional standing (1% - 33% of shift); continuously lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. (67% - 100% of shift); occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. (34% - 66% of shift); occasional pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. (34% - 66% of shift); continuous finger dexterity and use of hands/arms for repetitive movement (67% - 100% of shift);
frequent twisting and reaching at and below shoulder level; occasional bending/stooping, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder level. (34% - 66% of shift); occasional driving with and without loading and unloading items, occasional exposure to odors.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Typically work hours and days are between Monday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and some flexibility in hours is allowed. Responsibilities occasionally may require irregular hours as deemed necessary.
