Overview

Full Time (1.0 FTE)
Weekends:
Fridays 4:00pm - Mondays 8:00amSalaried Exempt Salary: $84,000/year

This position will cover on call every weekend from 4:00pm on Fridays to 8:00am on Mondays for the entire service area. Salary guaranteed regardless of hours worked on call.

What You’ll DoOur Rest Assured Weekend Nurses work together to manage the needs of all patients in all service areas while on call. This will include coordinating weekend admissions, visits, and providing guidance to other disciplines as appropriate.

The Rest Assured Weekend Nurses are based out of Black Hawk County but will respond to all locations as needed.

Every 8th weekend off, paid! Due to the equivalent of 6 paid “weeks” off already built into the position, there is no additional vacation time accrual however, sick leave will accrue based on a 1.0 FTE, and full-time benefits will be available.

Qualifications Required Current  Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork

Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn work-related software

Valid Iowa driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

Preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Two years of recent nursing experience, preferably working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team Previous hospice, home health, palliative care, or related nursing experience

Physical Requirements Ability to move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Ability to travel throughout the service area and work in patient homes, healthcare facilities and office settings

Ability to alternate between sitting, standing, walking and driving throughout the workday

Pre-employment/post-offer physical, TB, and drug screen required
