Position Summary

Provides member service. Maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services. Provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology. Processes member purchases. Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.

Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise. Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.

Maintains entrance and exit areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, identifies member needs, assists with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, promotes products, zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, assists members with transporting items, maintains a safe shopping environment, reviews receipts, secures assets, maintains logs, executes emergency response procedures, and ensures compliance with security and safety practices.

Assists with training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures. Teaches new technology and tool functionality. Delivers new program rollout training. Provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.

Ensures the area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies by properly handling returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.

Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying them in business processes. Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicates progress; recommends improvement opportunities; and adapts to and learns from change.
