Merchandising Lead

Position Summary

What you will do includes providing member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs, providing guidance and support regarding self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.

Assist management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques to ensure member complaints are resolved according to company guidelines and policies.

Receive and stock supplies and merchandise, organize and maintain the sales floor using equipment, merchandising, and completing paperwork logs. Ensure safety of the facility by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift, spotting, handling, and disposal procedures, and reporting unsafe situations.

Maintain merchandise presentation in accordance with company policies, handle claims and returns, zone the area, stock, arrange, and organize merchandise, and set up cleaning and product displays. Remove damaged goods, sign and price merchandise, identify shrink and damages, and secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.

Monitor food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, sanitation standards, merchandising area categories and stocking, and cleaning all departments. Oversee the picking and staging of club pick‑up orders, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy.

Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners. Analyze and apply information from multiple sources, monitor progress and results, and identify improvement opportunities.

Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Explain, guide, and demonstrate application of these in business processes, implementing action plans using the Open Door Policy, and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.

Lead and participate in teams, sharing resources, information, and tools, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating work assignments, providing advice and feedback, and modeling how to adapt to change or new challenges.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid, ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Six months retail experience and six months customer service experience.

• Leading a team, supervising experience to include hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others.
