As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal being agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture built on teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, warehouse spaces, parking lots, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and check inbound and outbound traffic such as employees, contractors, and deliveries, verifying identification and/or authorization per post orders.
- Complete reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers and/or to supervisors.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
