As a Security Officer Unarmed Driving Role in Waterloo, IA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

You will support daily operations with strong customer service, clear communication, and a team-first approach rooted in integrity, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts according to post procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, warehouses, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information as directed by site policies, and report unauthorized activity or policy concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Support daily operations by maintaining visible presence, completing required reports, and assisting with traffic, delivery, and employee access activity as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
