About the RoleThis position supports commercial construction projects by assisting skilled trades, maintaining jobsite organization, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
It’s well suited for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work, learning new skills, and being part of a team that builds meaningful structures for local communities.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily construction activities including site cleanup, material handling, and basic carpentry support
Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and building materials
Operate basic hand and power tools safely
Support concrete, steel, and carpentry crews as directed
Follow all safety procedures and participate in jobsite safety meetings
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
Perform additional duties as needed to support project progress
Previous construction or general labor experience preferred but not required
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
Reliable transportation to job sites
Commitment to safety and teamwork
Positive attitude and readiness to contribute to a productive jobsite
Job requires steel toed boots

Team sizes typically range from 3–10 crew members
Standard schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM — 4:00 PM
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 – $25.00/hr.
