Forklift Operator

Overview

Position:
Material Handler – Waterloo, Iowa. Weekly pay, benefits, and career progression within Ryder’s Supply Chain.

• Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour
• Additional Hourly Rates: $2.00 per hour when working 3rd Shift
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday – Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

  Sit‑down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, RF scanner

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Capable of building professional relationships at all levels
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Excellent punctuality and attendance record
• Minimal supervision required
• High initiative and accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lb and stand for long periods
• Familiar with health and safety methods
• Flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Perform additional duties as assigned
