Recovery Housing Manager
Position Summary
The Recovery Housing Manager provides on‑site oversight, support, and accountability within the organization’s recovery housing program. This role ensures a safe, clean, and recovery‑focused living environment for residents by conducting daily monitoring, offering peer support when needed, and helping maintain the overall functioning of the home. The Manager also collaborates with the Director of Peer Support Services and will work at the drop in center when needed.
Drop in center hours are Monday and Wednesday 4:30pm-8:00pm, Thursday 1:00pm to 8:00pm and two Sundays a month 10:30 am to 2:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
Housing Oversight & Accountability
Conduct morning and evening breathalyzer checks for all residents.
Complete regular room checks to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to housing standards.
Monitor resident compliance with all house rules, expectations, and program guidelines.
Address rule violations promptly and professionally, following organizational procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of checks, incidents, and resident interactions.
Must be present nightly unless prior approval from supervisor.
Peer Support & Resident Engagement
Provide peer support to residents as needed, using recovery‑oriented and trauma‑informed approaches.
Model healthy recovery behaviors and promote a supportive, respectful community environment.
Assist residents in accessing resources, attending appointments, or problem‑solving daily challenges.
Communicate resident concerns or needs to leadership in a timely manner.
Assist residents in attending community support meetings as needed.
Facility Support & Collaboration
Serve as backup for basic maintenance needs (e.g., reporting issues, coordinating repairs, simple troubleshooting).
Work collaboratively with the Director of Peer Support Services to support drop‑in center operations when needed.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the building.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 1 year of continuous recovery from substance use.
Current Peer Support Certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
Current and active drivers license.
Experience providing support, oversight, or mentorship to individuals in recovery.
Ability to maintain healthy boundaries, uphold confidentiality, and model recovery principles.
Strong communication skills and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations.
Preferred
Experience working in recovery housing or similar residential settings.
Familiarity with harm‑reduction, peer‑run, or recovery‑oriented service models.
Schedule & Compensation
Part‑time position
$400/week paid bi weekly
Paid housing included as part of the compensation package.
