Forklift Operator Warehouse 1st Shift

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Waterloo, Iowa — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Perform warehouse functions which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to the automated packing system during core shift hours
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Equipment:
  Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, RF Scanner

• Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday - Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
• Benefits and pay weekly where applicable

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to work within a diverse environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across all levels
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; demonstrates initiative and accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods
• Flexible schedule across various shifts; detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices
