Local CDL Driver - Bertch Cabinets

Job Description

The Local/On‑Site Driver delivers parts and products throughout the Bertch sites by various means, such as straight truck, forklift, van, or semi. It is required that the Local Driver has a Class A CDL. The Driver works 5:30 am–4:00 pm Monday through Thursday with overtime hours on Friday.

• Ensures safety and quality.
• Delivers parts to customer satisfaction.
• Answers or directs associate’s questions.
• Loads trucks as needed.
• Lifts, pushes, and handles freight.
• Works overtime on short notice and weekends when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

High school diploma or GED. CDL license required. Subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing. Must complete annual physicals as required by DOT regulations.

• Can read measurement tools.
• Can add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Can apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

• Can lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to or exceeding 50 lbs.
• Can stand or walk an entire shift (8‑10 hours).
• Can sit for long periods in vehicle.

• Must cope with Iowa climates, heat and cold conditions in building. Fast paced workloads and loud noise levels are normal. Paint fumes and chemical exposure may be present.
• Personal Protective Equipment as required by OSHA will be provided by Company.
