Driver - Aggregate Truck - Waterloo, NE

Lyman-Richey Sand & Gravel Company, A CRH Company, has been supplying aggregate materials for construction and development projects for more than 130 years through several plants in the Omaha metro area along Nebraska's Platte River.

The Aggregate Truck Driver is responsible for transportation of aggregates from rock quarries and gravel pits to various locations and customer job sites, primarily driving a Dump Truck and Pup Trailer.

• Ensure safe work environment per safety policies and regulatory compliance (OSHA, MSHA, etc.).
• Safely operate truck and trailer combination.
• Operate tarp mechanism to cover/uncover box on truck and trailer.
• Comply with DOT requirements (licensing, inspection, hours of service).
• Operate truck safe and professional on highways, roads, yard, and job sites.
• Drive in traffic and maneuver truck, including backing, to load/unload aggregate.
• Inspect truck pre/post trip, complete check‑off sheet.
• Wash surfaces of truck with truck wash compound per company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 to 2 years related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in building materials/construction industry preferred.

• 18 years old or older.
• Pass pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Arrive dressed appropriately and ready to work at start time.
• Follow safety requirements and procedures from Employee Handbook.
• Maintain valid Class A CDL.
• Maintain valid Medical Card per DOT.
• Provide reliable attendance; willing to work nights, weekends, holidays as needed.

• Use tablet for time‑keeping and training.
• Collaborative, work well in a team and independently.
• Read and comprehend policies, instructions, maps, GPS information.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Take guidance and direction from supervisor.

• Frequently sit, reach, talk, hear, lift up to 10 lbs.
• Regularly use hand and fingers to manipulate objects; lift up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders/stairs, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Communicate via text, telecommunication, in person.
• Make precisely coordinated finger movements for controls.
