• Pay:
  Minimum $1,725 per week.
• Weekly minimum guaranteed pay as high as $1,725.

Driver Requirements

• Current Class A CDL.
• 1 year of current OTR tractor/trailer (combination vehicle) experience.

Job Description

• Weekly pay: $1,400 or more per week.
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.56 per Mile with 2,500 Miles per Week.
• Solo Stops Pay: $13.00 per Stop with 7 Stops per Week.
• Sign on Bonus: $3,000 paid out $1,500 at 30 days and $1,500 at 90 days.
• Schedule:
  
  Fri – Mon (Off every Tue, Wed and Thu). Start Time: 12:00 PM.
• Route:
  Local Home Daily.
• Tractor Type:
  Day Cab.
• Trailer Type:
  Dry Van, 53'.
• Freight:
  No Touch - Retail Merchandise.
• Training:
  Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful.
• Reimbursement:
  Cost Covered and Training Support for Endorsements.
• Vehicle: 36 months or newer, 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes.
• Transport students to and from school, sports, and events.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe bus environment.
• Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff.
• Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no CDL needed to start).
• Must have held a driver's license for at least 3 years (5 years if applying in Tennessee).
• Minimum age: 21 (25 in Tennessee).
• Pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Compliance with DOT regulations (marijuana prohibited, even for medical use).
• Reliable attendance & safety-first attitude.
