Cadence is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve advanced manufacturing equipment and processes. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working directly on the manufacturing floor—troubleshooting equipment, optimizing processes, and using automation and technology to improve quality, reliability, and efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Support and optimize vacuum heat treatment, including programming IPSEN vacuum furnaces, developing heat treat cycles, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Troubleshoot and improve CNC milling and trimming processes, including tooling, work holding, alignment, feeding systems, and process performance.
  • Program and troubleshoot SCARA robots, bowl feeders, automated equipment, and pneumatic controls.
  • Configure, tune, and troubleshoot Keyence vision and camera inspection systems.
  • Support automated laser etching, electropolishing, passivation, cleaning, coating, inspection, and finishing processes.
  • Perform and coordinate preventive and reactive equipment maintenance and technical troubleshooting.
  • Analyze product quality feedback to identify and implement manufacturing process improvements.
  • Create Solid Works models and 2D drawings to support equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, contractors, and equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
  • Hands-on manufacturing engineering, equipment, or process troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with automation, CNC machining, robotics, machine vision, heat treatment, or PLC-controlled equipment preferred.
  • Experience with Keyence, SCARA robotics, Solid Works, or IPSEN vacuum furnaces is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

At Cadence, you'll work with a broad range of advanced manufacturing technologies while helping us deliver products that support our mission of Together, Advancing Patient Outcomes.

Consistent with Cadence's career architecture, this position may be staffed at varying experience levels. Criteria evaluated when determining level and compensation is based on experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
