Location: Watertown, MA / Greater Boston Area

Field-based role with some office responsibilities. Projects are primarily throughout Greater Boston and Metro West, generally within about 45 minutes of the Watertown office.

ReModern Builders is seeking a Residential Construction Superintendent for high-end residential remodeling and custom renovation projects. Depending on experience, the selected candidate may be hired at the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent level. This role is ideal for someone with strong field experience, carpentry or trade knowledge, and some level of construction management experience. The right candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with subcontractors and clients, and able to keep projects moving while maintaining safety, quality, cleanliness, and professionalism on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily job site activities for high-end residential remodeling, additions, and renovation projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers on logistics, procurement schedules, project planning, and general conditions.
  • Maintain clean, safe, organized job sites that reflect ReModern Builders' quality standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, materials, tools, equipment, and job site needs.
  • Assist with change orders, take-offs, budgeting support, and construction-phase documentation.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and project details.
  • Help manage tools, equipment, shop organization, and inventory.
  • Pick up materials or orders from vendors and retailers as needed.
  • Build strong working relationships with subcontractors while holding them accountable to deadlines, quality, and expectations.
  • Handle light hands‑on tasks when needed, such as temporary safety work, signage, quick fixes, or small carpentry-related items.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, estimating, carpentry, or related trades; residential construction experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Foreman, Carpentry Foreman, Construction Foreman, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Project Manager, or Assistant Project Manager is highly relevant.
  • Strong field knowledge and general construction understanding; carpentry background is a plus.
  • Ability to read construction plans and understand project drawings.
  • Familiarity with construction software is helpful, including Buildertrend, Procore, Job Tread, CoConstruct, Fieldwire, Bluebeam, Square Takeoff, or Plan Swift.
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
  • Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and an acceptable driving record are required.
  • Must own a basic set of hand tools and drills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus, but not required.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required background and motor vehicle record checks, where permitted by law.
Pay and Benefits
  • Full-time, W-2 Employment
  • Competitive pay: $75,000-$100,000 per year, based on experience and final position level. Candidates may be hired as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent depending on qualifications.
  • Employer-paid health insurance stipend of approximately $6,600 annually, paid through payroll.
  • Vehicle stipend of approximately $330 per month while using a personal vehicle.
  • Eligible employees may be considered for a company vehicle after an introductory period, based on business needs and an acceptable driving record.
