Senior Kitchen Designer
Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops is seeking a creative and highly experienced Senior Kitchen Designer for our Watertown showroom. As the Northeast's leading cabinetry manufacturer with over 40 years of excellence, we pride ourselves on in-house manufacturing, state-of-the-art facilities, and a collaborative team environment.
Core Responsibilities- Expert Design & Planning:
Transform kitchens and bathrooms into stunning, functional spaces by creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings. - Client Consultation:
Lead initial consultations at our showroom to understand client needs, preferences, and budgets, guiding them through our product offerings and finishes. - Project Leadership:
Manage high-profile residential projects from initial conception to final delivery, ensuring all designs maximize functionality and flow. - Technical Excellence:
Utilize design software (such as 2020 Design) to produce accurate layouts, incorporating appliance specifications and ensuring adherence to building and safety codes. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with homeowners, contractors, architects, and internal manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution. - Mentorship:
Provide guidance and feedback to junior design team members to maintain high quality across all showroom projects.
- Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years (5+ years preferred for Senior level) in kitchen/bath design, architecture, or working with a design/build firm. - Technical
Skills:
Strong understanding of design principles and layouts; proficiency in 20/20 Design or similar CAD software is highly preferred. - Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex design concepts clearly to clients and industry professionals. - Education:
A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is typically required.
- Schedule:
Enjoy a Monday–Friday work week—we are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. - In-House Manufacturing:
