You will own the design and performance of sophisticated 1–6 degree-of-freedom robotic systems, working across actuator systems, motion control firmware, servo tuning, trajectory planning, and closed-loop control architectures.

Key Responsibilities Robotic Motion & Kinematics Development- Design, develop, and optimize 1–6
DOF robotic systems with a strong focus on rotational motion and articulated mechanisms - Develop and tune:
Forward and inverse kinematics, trajectory generation and motion planning, servo loops and closed‑loop motion control, calibration and dynamic system compensation - Analyze robotic motion performance, accuracy, repeatability, and stability across complex movement profiles
- Architect and maintain robotic, electrical, and control systems end‑to‑end, including motion controllers, servo drives, actuators, encoders and feedback systems, sensors and instrumentation
- Develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware for motion control platforms using C/C++
- Collaborate with external PCB and electronics manufacturing partners on schematic reviews and custom PCBA development
- Partner with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop test fixtures, calibration procedures, and diagnostic tools
- Create and maintain ISO‑compliant engineering and manufacturing documentation
- Manage electrical subsystem lifecycle support, including BOM obsolescence and hardware refresh initiatives
- BS or MS in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, or sustaining robotic or multi‑axis motion systems
- Deep expertise in kinematics and inverse kinematics, trajectory planning, closed‑loop servo control, real‑time embedded motion systems
- Hands‑on experience with servo motors and drives, encoders and feedback systems, multi‑axis rotational motion systems, embedded firmware development in C/C++
- Strong understanding of robotic system integration and motion performance optimization
- Comfortable reviewing schematics and interfacing with contract manufacturers for custom electronics development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with biomechanics, surgical robotics, medical devices, simulation or test systems
- Familiarity with Xilinx FPGAs, industrial real‑time communication protocols, functional safety, and regulated environments
- Knowledge of ISO 13849‑1, ISO 13485, IEC 60601 standards
- Experience with low‑noise analog signal conditioning and acquisition systems
