We are seeking an experienced AV Support Technician with 6 years of hands‑on technical experience supporting audio‑visual systems, staging, and live event environments. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of AV technologies and devices such as Click Share, Polycom/Pro Com systems, projectors, microphones, and video conferencing tools
.

The candidate must possess excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate with technical support teams to ensure smooth AV operations.

Job Title: AV Support Technician

Location: Watertown, MA

Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV equipment for meetings and live events.
  • Provide first‑level support for conference room AV systems and end‑user devices.
  • Install and maintain AV hardware including display systems, projectors, cameras, microphones, speakers, and VTC systems
    .
  • Perform rack and stack, cabling, patching, and device deployment activities.
  • Manage AV inventory, stockroom assets, spares, and equipment tracking
    .
  • Handle incident tracking, work orders, break‑fix support, and ticket updates
    .
  • Support live webcasts, large meetings, and corporate events
    .
  • Perform routine maintenance such as rebooting devices and replacing projector bulbs and cables.
  • Coordinate with L2 teams and OEM vendors for repairs and replacements.
  • Create and maintain AV documentation, user guides, and training materials
    .
  • Provide basic training to users on AV technologies (VC systems, Trios, 360 cameras, etc.).
Health and Safety Responsibilities
  • Follow company and client health and safety policies and procedures
    .
  • Use PPE and safety equipment as required.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or hazards promptly.
  • Maintain safe handling and operation of tools and AV equipment.
  • Comply with provincial OHS regulations and workplace safety standards
    .
