We are seeking innovative and highly motivated individuals to join our growing Discovery Biology team as a Logistics Coordinator.

This position will assist with the logistics and sourcing of materials for our Discovery and CMC Teams.

This role will be on-site, in our Watertown Facility but will work globally with our Discovery and CMC groups.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements Requirements
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience with shipping and receiving.
  • B.S. preferred with a minimum of 1-2 years of post-graduate industry/academic experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. We may substitute relevant work experience for educational background.
  • Proficiency in utilizing software such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is essential.
  • Effective communication of work, plans and progress using written and verbal communication.
  • Preferably should hold IATA certificate from the competent authority in US (not a mandatory requirement)
  • Ability to work with teams in different time zones.
Responsibility:
  • Work with SCM and Discovery R&D teams (Boston & India) for the purchase, shipping, and import/export documentation of biological and chemical reagents and associated lab material/equipment required for India operation.
  • Be responsible for ambient and temperature-controlled shipping through preferred service providers for international and domestic shipping.
  • Responsible for packing of ambient shipment in a suitable package to be shipped to India.
  • Manage communications with internal stakeholders (SCM, Logistics & Project Managers) and external stakeholders (clients, supplier & service provider) on purchasing, shipping & receipt of material.
  • Update procurement tracker on daily basis regarding the receipt of material from supplier or clients and shipment of material to India.
  • Maintain relationship and develop new opportunities for sourcing biological materials for Discovery Biology team in India, with US based vendors.
  • Assist SCM managers with assessment for new vendors and support in negotiate of terms and pricing of biological, chemical reagents & associated lab material/equipment.
