Peptide Synthesis and Purification Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Peptide Synthesis group s group is primarily responsible for the high-throughput synthesis and purification of compound singletons and libraries to support both platform development and drug discovery programs. The ideal candidate for this role will have hands‑on experience in peptide synthesis, purification techniques, and LC‑MS analysis. This is an on‑site role in Watertown, MA.

• Synthesize novel peptides and other molecules to support drug discovery programs
• Program, operate, and troubleshoot automated peptide synthesizers
• Develop preparative HPLC methods and purify novel compounds
• Characterize newly synthesized compounds by LC‑MS analysis
• Use an ELN and LIMS to keep detailed records and register new compounds
• Identify workflow challenges/bottlenecks and propose innovative solutions
• Coordinate across functions to plan synthesis projects, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and deliver high‑quality compounds with a fast turnaround

• BA/BS or MSc degree in chemistry; 1-2 years of industry experience for Research Associate; 3+ for Senior Research Associate
• Experience in organic synthesis, including solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS)
• Experience in purification techniques, including HPLC and SPE
• Experience in characterization techniques, including LC‑MS and NMR
• Skills to communicate effectively with colleagues across disciplines
• Ability to manage time efficiently and meet ambitious deadlines
• Knowledge of lab safety standards and procedures
• Eager to solve problems and make a positive impact
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
