How you’ll make an impact:
  • Serves as an Immunology Translational Medicine Program Lead on cross-functional project team(s) and develops translational medicine and biomarker strategies to support early and late phase clinical trials
  • Collaborates with Medicine team to develop clinical trials in appropriate patient populations
  • In partnership with the Translational Medicine Biomarker Operations team and Clinical Operations team oversees seamless implementation of translational assays in the clinic
  • Develops and validates clinical assays at outsourced partner laboratories using multiple assay technology platforms (e.g., cell-based assays, molecular-based assays, single or multiplexed immunoassays, flow cytometry and/or imaging technologies)
  • Ability to review and interpret data /results from multiple types of biomarker assays and integrate findings
  • Presents translational medicine data packages internally and externally as required
  • Effectively coordinates with Translational Medicine Biomarker Operations team to manage external collaborations with academic partners and CROs to deliver results on time and on budget
  • Review and author translational medicine sections of clinical documentation, including clinical protocols, study reports, consent forms; abstracts and/or manuscripts and regulatory documents (e.g. IND, IB etc.)
  • Builds biomarker knowledge base in the context of disease outcomes to contribute to advancement of clinical stage programs
  • Monitors developing biomarker approaches and incorporate novel technologies in support of ongoing and new clinical programs
  • Interfaces effectively with Translational Medicine Head to ensure alignment on topics
Skills and experience you’ll bring:
  • PhD 8-10 years of experience in translational medicine/ science within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated success leading translational medicine efforts for ++immunology++ and /or respiratory drug development programs
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high quality clinical biomarker data to inform decisions and development strategy
  • Track record of working effectively with CROs to design and execute studies
  • Demonstrated innovation in applying novel translational approaches to drug development
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Compensation

  • Kymera offers a competitive compensation package that recognizes both results and capabilities through market-based, performance-driven pay.
  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $195,000 – $330,000, with eligibility for annual bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Actual salary is based on a holistic evaluation of the specific role/level as well as each candidate’s depth of experience and the capabilities they bring to the position.
