- Aug 6, 2026 Salary range: $42.00 per hour
The Extended School Year (ESY) offers specialized instruction and related services to students beyond the regular school year. The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders that impact their ability to access the curriculum. The SLP plays a critical role in fostering inclusive learning environments, promoting communication equity, and ensuring that students receive the necessary support to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities- Consultation with staff regarding teaching students with communication disorders
- Provide direct service and/or support to sub-specialty programs
- Follow related IEP Goals and Accommodations
- Teach age-related social pragmatic skills when appropriate
- Focus teaching on prevention of skill regression
- Progress monitoring and reporting
- Current Massachusetts DESE licensure as a speech-language pathologist
- Experience delivering services to preschool, elementary, and/or secondary preferred
- Experience assessing all school-age children
- Experience reading IEPs
- Holds the belief that all children can learn
- Classroom management
- Flexibility with respect to caseloads, age groups, and scheduling
- Experience as a speech-language pathologist in a public school setting
- CPR/First Aid Certification
