Construction Estimator
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the estimation process, ensuring accurate and complete cost estimates for assigned projects.
Responsibilities- Manage document control and review all estimate information, including requests for quotations, internal requests for estimates, correspondence, drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare a work breakdown structure for project estimates.
- Coordinate and track estimate progress, ensuring all requirements are met with necessary parties.
- Conduct quantity verification and develop computerized takeoff sheets to accurately identify all costs.
- Identify potential risks and betterments for each project and report findings.
- Solicit wage determinations from labor union representatives and pricing from material vendors.
- Assist the purchasing department with the preparation of subcontractor bid packages.
- Create complete cost estimates using corporate estimating software, including all labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and productivity costs.
- Develop preliminary bill of materials and project budgets upon job award, and track job progress.
- Generate estimates and budget updates for change orders and estimate variances during construction.
- Proficiency in estimation, commercial construction, bidding, and using estimating software.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry standards and ability to provide feedback for operational improvements.
- Participation in professional development or educational programs as required.
- Ability to react to change and handle additional tasks as assigned.
This position is onsite in Watertown. The work environment involves collaboration with various departments and requires effective communication with jobsite personnel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Watertown, NY.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
