Job Description:

The Humanities Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty in Philosophy. Candidates are needed to teach (online or in the classroom) the following course:
Introduction to Philosophy.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Philosophy. Prior teaching experience at the college level is required.

Additional Information:

This is a pooled search. Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants to teach courses in Philosophy. Adjunct applications will be kept on file to fill part-time teaching vacancies as they occur.

The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on planned courses each term; it is not possible to predict the need for future semesters. When an opening does occur, finalists for adjunct positions are contacted for interviews.

Level A - $665/credit hour

Level B - $785/credit hour after teach 6 semesters at Jefferson
