Travel RN Opearting Room | $2808 | (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) | 36 hours/week

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 36-Hours Night Shift 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Radius Rule:
Must live more than 100 miles from permanent address

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current New York State RN license or eligible to obtain.
BLS required (or must obtain within 3 months of hire).
ACLS preferred.
Minimum of 1 year Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
Preceptorship, charge nurse experience, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.

Training Requirement
Candidates without recent Operating Room experience must participate in and successfully complete the six-month Peri-operative 101 Education Program through the Association of peri Operative Registered Nurses.

Passing the final exam is mandatory and a condition of employment as an OR RN.

Responsibilities & Skills
Provide high-quality patient care in the Operating Room.
Assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
Maintain aseptic technique and a safe surgical environment in the OR/ASU setting.
Demonstrate knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation used in surgical procedures.
Recognize and address safety risks for patients and staff, including proper patient lifting and transfers.
Interpret lethal dysrhythmias when required.
Work effectively in high-stress situations with strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate leadership skills, including prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities.
May be required to function as a charge nurse.
Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
