Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule:
Every other weekend & every other holiday
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Radius Rule: 100-mile radius (no local candidates within 100 miles)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate is experienced in perioperative nursing, maintains a sterile environment, and delivers safe, high-quality patient care in the OR setting. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.
Key Requirements:
- Active New York State RN license
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and on-call schedule
- Recent Operating Room experience strongly preferred
- Candidates without recent OR experience must complete and pass the AORN Perioperative 101 Program (6 months) as a condition of employment
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance
- Experience with surgical instrumentation and OR equipment
- Ability to recognize and respond to safety risks and patient needs
- Basic understanding of lethal dysrhythmia interpretation
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
