American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and prior travel nursing experience.
Details- Emergency Department unit setting
- Night shift schedule (7p-7a)
- 12-hour shifts over a 13-week assignment
- No on-call responsibilities
- Meditech EMR experience required
- Active NYS RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred
- Meditech EMR experience required
- Strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
- Ability to assess patient safety needs and use lifts appropriately
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- May be required to assume charge nurse duties
- Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
- Must become defibrillation certified within six months of employment
- Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation
- First-time travelers are not eligible due to required travel experience
