American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

• Emergency Department unit setting
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a)
• 12-hour shifts over a 13-week assignment
• No on-call responsibilities
• Meditech EMR experience required

• Active NYS RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Ability to assess patient safety needs and use lifts appropriately

• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
• Must become defibrillation certified within six months of employment
• Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation
• First-time travelers are not eligible due to required travel experience
