- Current NYS RN license required
Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required - IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
- Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
- Defibrillation certified within six months of employment Must-Have:
- MEDITECH experience required
- Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
- Thorough knowledge of nursing principles
- Ability to provide quality patient care
- Ability to assess patient's needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual
Description:
- Must recognize safety issues to self and others
- Ability to assess and implement the use of lifts to move patients safely
- Must function well in stressful situations
- Strong, creative problem-solving skills are essential
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills are required
