American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with a current NY RN license and on-call availability for a 13-week assignment.

• Operating Room/Ambulatory Surgical Unit setting
• 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time
• 13-week contract

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and patient assessment across clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
• Knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation used in OR/ASU settings for safe and aseptic care
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience preferred for experienced RNs
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills required

• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Must recognize safety issues and properly utilize lifts to move patients safely
• Must function effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Two references required from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager within the past year and within the relevant specialty
