The part-time Front Desk employee is responsible for greeting guests, directing the flow of incoming guest traffic, answering questions, handle cash transactions, scheduling, front desk concessions and correspondence whether phone, computer or mail. This employee is also responsible for communications among staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Welcome guests and direct them to locations within the PLWC.
- Answer and make phone calls on behalf of office employees.
- Handle membership inquiries, marketing and scheduling of classes and appointments.
- Properly handle cash, credit and debit card transactions; as well as make appropriate change.
- Schedule meetings for employees.
- Take orders and answer questions with clarity and understanding.
- Work with a variety of people in an efficient, calm and patient manner while in a fast-paced environment.
- Work nights and weekends and extended hours as needed.
- Consistent and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts is required.
- Maintain towel supply to ensure all members have access to a towel.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to count cash and handle cash transactions, giving correct change during purchases or membership fee payments. Must be a minimum of 16 years old or older.
