Join Pearce as a Generator Technician and play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing commercial generators on cell phone towers. This position is ideal for self‑motivated individuals eager to excel in the Telecom industry.
Responsibilities- Maintain, diagnose, and repair generator issues; install or replace components and systems.
- Conduct regular performance checks and maintenance on generators; interpret blueprints or design specifications.
- Install fuel and water lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and perform operational tests.
- Promptly respond to Power/Generator alarms; be on call 24/7 if necessary.
- Identify potential hazards; use safety equipment and practices; attend safety and training meetings.
- Minimum of one year of experience with generator and electrical maintenance; two or more years preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; moderate computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
- Electrical experience preferred.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to drive long distances and work flexible hours, including overtime and emergency callouts.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical.
$30 - $40 USD
