We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hydraulics Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, testing, and implementation of hydraulic systems and components used in industry/application (e.g., heavy machinery, automotive). This role requires a strong understanding of fluid dynamics, system integration, and mechanical design principles.
Responsibilities- Design and develop hydraulic systems and components for new and existing products.
- Perform simulations and calculations to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for hydraulic issues.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation of hydraulic systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Fluid Power Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hydraulic system design and analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, Onshape) and simulation tools (MATLAB, ANSYS).
- Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, control valves, pumps, actuators, and filtration systems.
- Familiarity with ANSI Standards, ISO, SAE, and other relevant hydraulic standards.
- Good 3D modeling ability for piping and hose routings in 3D CAD software.
- Experience in selection of hydraulic components such as cylinders, motors, and pumps.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Solid Works preferred.
Compensation range: $80,000 – $95,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors including education, experience, certifications, etc. Benefits include competitive salaries, bonus, healthcare, paid holidays, 401(k), life insurance, and continuing education opportunities.
