This position is located at our Watertown, SD Uptown branch.
Job OverviewThe Teller will be responsible for daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive-up locations of the branch. The position also supports outstanding client service and maintains client relationships by recognizing referral opportunities for additional products and services.
Responsibilities- Process client account transactions, including deposits, loan payments, checks, savings withdrawals, and currency exchanges.
- Answer client questions in person and over the telephone.
- Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities and refer clients to appropriate banking professionals.
- Utilize 360
View to record activities, incidents, and referrals. - Process consumer credit card applications.
- Execute special client requests such as account closures, check orders, foreign currency exchanges, and safe-deposit box procedures.
- Reconcile cash drawer and maintain accurate cash supplies.
- Comply with bank operations and security procedures, participate in dual-control functions, and maintain client traffic surveys.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect bank operations by safeguarding information.
- Attend training sessions and assist team members as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to handle confidential information with discretion; strong mathematical aptitude; excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills; exceptional attention to detail.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; experience in a cash-handling role preferred.
Physical Demands- Dexterity of hands/fingers to operate keyboard and mouse – frequent handling.
- Frequent hearing, speaking, walking, and talking.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lb.
- Sitting, standing as required.
- Moderate noise level.
