Job SummaryThis full-time, on-site position is responsible for providing support in the administration of payroll and benefits, human resources programs, and services, with special emphasis on the HR functional areas of payroll, benefits, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Administers all required records, reports, statistics, log files, and other documents as related to payroll services including voucher processing and record retention.
- Processes the PLHS bi-weekly payroll.
- Responsible for the completion/review of all payroll taxes and government filings related to the PLHS bi-weekly payroll.
- Manages the relationship with the HRIS software company and handles tickets and situations related to Paycor including software setup and new employee setup.
- Completes and submits all government-required documents including 5500's.
- Responsible for working with auditors and providing data for the 5500 (403B) audit.
- Administers employee benefits and retirement plans including enrollments and terminations.
- Acts as liaison between employees and insurance vendors to resolve benefit-related problems and ensure effective utilization of benefit plans and positive employee experience.
- Ensures human resources programs are in compliance with established policies, procedures, and federal, state, and industry regulations. Conducts periodic audits of HR functions and processes to ensure compliance.
- Prepares and maintains internal and external reports utilizing statistics and appropriate HR metrics to report the performance of various HR programs.
- Manages new employee orientation and participates in employee presentations and workshops related to assigned areas and programs.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 reports annually, and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO/AA regulations.
- Completes and maintains required documentation to comply with government-mandated regulations such as FMLA.
- Works closely with the Director of Human Resources in the planning, development, implementation, administration, and performance measurement of HR programs, special projects, and strategic HR initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of comprehensive HR experience at a professional level, including a demonstrated track record in the design, development, implementation, communication, and administration of several HR functions.
