GENERAL FUNCTION: The Gift Shop Clerk position is responsible for providing quality service to guests of Dakota Sioux Casino & Hotel and assist in efficient operations of the Gift Shop.
Duties And Repsonsibilities- Provides quality customer service in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.
- Possess basic math and cash handling knowledge.
- Operate cash register.
- Receive payment by cash, credit card or Player’s Club card.
- Verify and maintain cash bank amount throughout shift.
- Stock and merchandise shelves as needed.
- Track inventory and communicate with Retail Manager regarding inventory needs.
- Sanitization of high traffic areas.
- Ensure all guests are of applicable age to their purchases; i.e. must be eighteen (18) to purchase energy drinks and twenty-one (21) for tobacco and alcohol products.
- Cross-train for the C-Store.
- Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum QualificationsTwenty-one (21) years of age.
OtherExcellent communication and organizational skills. Must complete Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM) training. Must obtain non-gaming license upon hire.
Physical RequirementsAbility to bend, stoop, twist, reach and lift up to fifty (50) pounds or more. Ability to carry up to twenty (20) pounds on a continual basis. Ability to push or pull merchandise on a cart, dolly or two-wheeler. Sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Occasional janitorial duties.
