Carpenter Apprentice​/Helper

Backroad Construction is looking for a dependable Carpenter Apprentice / Helper to join our residential construction team. This is an opportunity to learn the carpentry trade through hands-on experience while working alongside experienced craftsmen.

• $16–$20 per hour
• Profit sharing

• Monday–Friday schedule with no required weekend work
• Full-time day shift
• 8- or 10-hour shifts
• Overtime available

• Assist experienced carpenters with framing, installation, trim, and other construction tasks
• Help measure, cut, move, and prepare materials
• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials
• Help set up and clean up residential job sites
• Learn proper use and care of carpentry tools and equipment
• Follow direction from lead carpenters and help keep projects on schedule
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Previous construction or carpentry experience is helpful but not required
• Willingness to learn the carpentry trade
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to perform physical work and lift materials as needed
• Basic math skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
• Safety-conscious attitude
