Backroad Construction is looking for a dependable Carpenter Apprentice / Helper to join our residential construction team. This is an opportunity to learn the carpentry trade through hands-on experience while working alongside experienced craftsmen.
Compensation & Benefits- $16–$20 per hour
- Profit sharing

- Monday–Friday schedule with no required weekend work
- Full-time day shift
- 8- or 10-hour shifts
- Overtime available
- Assist experienced carpenters with framing, installation, trim, and other construction tasks
- Help measure, cut, move, and prepare materials
- Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials
- Help set up and clean up residential job sites
- Learn proper use and care of carpentry tools and equipment
- Follow direction from lead carpenters and help keep projects on schedule
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Previous construction or carpentry experience is helpful but not required
- Willingness to learn the carpentry trade
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to perform physical work and lift materials as needed
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Safety-conscious attitude
