PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER NEEDED
River Bend RV Resort is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the resort's day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This is a steady, year-round role working closely with our Administrative Manager to ensure accurate records, smooth transactional processing, and strong internal controls across multiple departments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, stays organized, and takes pride in accuracy and follow-through.
Experience in hospitality, private resorts, or multi-revenue environments is helpful (but not required).

The Bookkeeper plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the resort's operations. This position requires a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable, cash handling, and invoice processing, along with the ability to manage both physical and digital documentation efficiently.
Responsibilities- Adhere to all resort policies, procedures, and company guidelines.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers as needed.
- Count and reconcile checks, cash, coin, and credit card receipts against system reports.
- Prepare deposit slips and investigate discrepancies or variances.
- Sort, code, scan, and process vendor invoices.
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices and billing statements.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with customers outside of established credit terms.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding outstanding balances.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct basic data analysis and assist with financial reporting.
- Reconcile accounts and verify transaction accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Process Accounts Payables; invoice entry, coding, routing for approval, and payment preparation.
- Assist with bank and credit card documentation and reconciliations.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documentation and vendor records.
- Help track expenses by department/function to support reporting and planning.
- Provide administrative support on accounting tasks and projects as needed.
- Proven problem‑solving abilities and a positive, professional attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quick Books Online.
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
This is primarily a desk-based role requiring extended time working on a computer, reading and reconciling financial data, and meeting time-sensitive deadlines related to receivables, payables, and month-end tasks. This role requires on-site presence at the resort.
