Quality Manufacturing Engineer-Watertown, WI
The Quality Manufacturing Engineer works with manufacturing to ensure production schedules and goals are obtained. Lead and instigate corrective action, fool proofing and continuous improvement systems to facilitate and enhance manufacturing operations and customer satisfaction. The QME will also interface with the supplier base and internal departments within the Watertown facility to improve the quality of assembled products, increase qualified product, interface with suppliers and engineering and reduce costs of purchased components.

Key Responsibilities- Review, document, and analyse monthly warranty and out-of-box claims for all products to support warranty management plan.
- Continue improve the OSI process.
- OSI fulfilment; coordinate to make sure installation issue solved timely.
- Analyse risk level of OSI issues; coordinate the root cause and corrective actions.
- Leading across function Quality PDCA review.
- Create and maintain configuration work and process instructions with input from Engineering, Service, Quality management and floor personnel.
- Create and maintain test procedures and care point checks for product in all production and manufacturing support areas as required, includes possible programming knowledge for testing systems.
- Works with Inspection and Quality Assurance to investigate scrapped components for process issues.
- Understand ISO, UL and OSHA requirements: be able to effectively audit processes, work with UL inspectors and define safe work processes.
- Participate in new product development teams.
- Be able to perform and evaluate capabilities studies, statistical testing, and sampling programs.
- Represent company for external auditing for JSOX, ISO and UL.
- Assist and support manufacturing as required to troubleshoot and analyse production components or systems to achieve manufacturing output goals.
- Analyse in-house and field failures of product to determine and/or implement corrective action.
- Investigate customer complaints for determination and/or implementation of corrective action.
- Communicate with internal personnel, suppliers, service personnel and customers as required to analyse and resolve problems and complaints and/or implement corrective action.
- Train assembly personnel on new processes.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university in manufacturing, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum one year to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MS Office or similar computer software skills are required.
- Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical components.
- Ability to troubleshoot processes and components for function and disposition.
- Effectively present information to top management, employees of the company, public groups, and suppliers.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, statistical process control and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Ability to utilize hand and power tools.
- Excellent follow up and time management skills.
- Computer skills and knowledge.
- May need to travel abroad to transfer product lines, obtain training, inspect / verify suppliers or visit other Glory facilities for projects.
$61,000-$76,000, Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; education; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
