Position: Long-Term Care Nurse (RN) | Watertown, Wisconsin
Provide compassionate, skilled care in a dynamic nursing home setting attached to a hospital, specializing in rehabilitation and long-term care for elderly residents. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work closely with interdisciplinary teams managing a diverse patient population, including those with dementia and complex clinical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and accurate charting in the electronic medical record system.
  • Administer medications and manage clinical procedures such as IV therapy, catheter care, and ostomy maintenance.
  • Serve in charge nurse capacity when assigned, supporting team coordination and patient care.
  • Collaborate with therapy, social work, dietary, and activities staff to optimize resident outcomes.
  • Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient care requirements.
  • Adhere to professional dress code standards with solid color scrubs.
  • Participate in orientation tailored to skill level and previous experience.

Qualifications:
  • Current RN licensure with experience in rehabilitation and long-term care settings.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Proven ability to care for elderly populations including those with dementia and frailty.
  • Experience with titratable drips and IV management preferred.
  • Competence working with interdisciplinary teams in a nursing home attached to a hospital.
  • Availability to work block 8-hour shifts with weekend coverage every other weekend.
  • Ability to work at least half of the holidays during the assignment.
  • Flexibility to float among units as needed.
