Job Description

- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, workspace, and walk‑in cooler
- Prepare product
- Receive and process telephone orders
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
- Deliver product by car to the customer’s door and deliver flyers and door hangers
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery
- Pass a background check and have open availability
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication SkillsAbility to understand and give correct written instructions; to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person; and to train and lead.
Essential Functions / Skills- Perform basic math accurately and quickly; make correct monetary change
- Take and process orders using verbal, written, and telephone skills
- Maintain cost controls
- Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders
- Execute rapid, accurate motor coordination of eye and hand movements
- Navigate a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including multi‑story buildings and private homes while carrying product
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in a cooler to 90°F or higher in some work areas; sudden temperature changes while inside or outside
- Fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust; cramped quarters including a walk‑in cooler
- Exposure to hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
- Standing:
Most tasks performed from a standing position, walking on tiles, bricks, or linoleum - Walking:
Generally short distances for short durations - Deliveries:
Travel between the store and the delivery vehicle and to customers’ locations - Sitting:
Paperwork performed at a desk or table - Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds, stacking onto shelves up to 72 inches high - Carrying:
Large cans (3.75 lb), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of dough (about 12 lb each) - Driving:
Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, making several deliveries per shift - Pushing/Pulling:
Trays on dollies (24–30 trays) requiring up to 7.5 lb of force - Climbing:
Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders for maintenance and price changes - Stooping/Bending:
Forward bending for assembling pizzas, stocking ingredients; repeated continuously during the day - Crouching/ Squatting:
Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas - Reaching:
Continuous reaching up, down, and forward, including above 72 inches, to control ovens, change signs, and lift objects - Hand Tasks:
Continuous fine motor use, shaping dough, manipulating pizza peel, cutter, and boxes - Machine/Tools:
Use of pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter, and peel
