Full Time Watertown, WI, US
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for controlling the material requirements, schedules, and shop orders for their assigned value streams. With little or minimal supervision, this position will ensure proper raw material and finished goods inventory levels to meet daily and forecasted sales requirements. Will help drive the company’s lead-time and cost reduction goals through supplier management and job planning activities.
You will do this by:Level 1:
- Entry level Purchasing Clerk type individual
- Limited purchasing of Pre-defined parts/Part Classes
- Requisition processing
- Pre-approved by other Managers - Predefined purchase limits
- Quantity limits - Purchase order Accuracy
- Expedite orders
- Follow up on orders
- Track documents related to those orders
- Have a basic knowledge of Ship to locations & Part Classes
- Field Accounting questions related to those orders
- Maintenance Buyer
- Purchasing Clerk
- Entry Level position

- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use basic math to analyze information
- Knowledge with computer systems and experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Business or other related field from an accredited school
- Experience using Epicor or (ERP)
- APICS, CPIM, CPP or similar certification
- Lean or other Continuous Improvement methodologies strongly preferred
- ISO experience
- Regularly walk, stand and sit.
- Occasionally lift and or move up to 20 lbs.
- Work is performed in an office environment, with regular exposure to the manufacturing plant.
- Considerable time may be spent sitting in front of a computer screen
- Manufacturing environment, loud noises.
- Machine Shop

Work Location:1040 S. 12 th Street | Watertown, WI
Shift:1 st – Monday through Friday 8am – 4pm (flexible 8 hr. shift)
