The main priority of Deli / Bakery associates is to prepare quality products for customers. They engage with customers at the service counter and move incoming merchandise out to the sales floor. Cleaning and maintaining proper food safety standards are critical to the team's success.

Work in the deli and be on the front lines of customer service—your smile can make the difference between a good shopping experience and a great one.

• Prepare and serve fresh food items in the deli, bakery, and dry grocery departments.
• Engage with customers at the service counter and assist with product selection.
• Maintain cleanliness of shelves and department, check and maintain temperature control, verify dates, and dispose of lesser quality food products.
• Pack ready‑to‑sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
• Assist customers in ordering cakes, fulfilling deli orders, or finding the right produce.

Additional duties may include rotating in other fresh food or grocery areas with similar responsibilities.

• Help customers find the products they are looking for.
• Ensure high quality products are available in produce, deli, bakery, dairy, meat, and other departments.
• Pack ready‑to‑sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
• Prepare and serve ready‑to‑eat food.
