Wisconsin Community Services (WISCS.org) seeks a Youth Treatment Specialist in our Community & Social Services department. In this role, you'll support at-risk youth through individualized treatment plans, life-skills coaching, and crisis intervention. You'll collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to promote stability, resilience, and positive outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision, mentoring, and support to youth in community-based treatment programs, ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
- Build trusting, professional relationships with youth based on respect, consistency, and positive role modeling.
- Implement individualized treatment and behavior support plans under the direction of clinical or program supervisory staff.
- Facilitate skills-building activities focused on social-emotional learning, coping strategies, independent living skills, and prosocial decision-making.
- Support youth in school attendance, vocational activities, and community engagement, including transportation as needed.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to crisis situations, using approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to maintain safety.
- Accurately document daily observations, incidents, progress notes, and required reports in a timely and confidential manner.
- Collaborate with counselors, case managers, educators, families, and community partners to coordinate consistent supports for each youth.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and trainings to continually improve service quality and outcomes.
- Advocate for youth needs and strengths, reinforcing their voice and choice within program expectations and community standards.
- Uphold agency policies, ethical standards, and all applicable regulations related to youth services and confidentiality.
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture that reflects Wisconsin Community Services' mission of empowerment and social justice.
